Frank Courtney, British aviator, looking on as Captain Von Grona, German aviator who recently made a crossing of the Atlantic to New York via Iceland, Greenland, Labrador and Novia Scotia, refuels his plane in preparation for a flight to the National Air Races in Chicago. It was in this plane that Capt. Courtney was forced down in Mid-Atlantic, and when he took it back to England he sold it to Capt. Von Gronau who used it successfully in his ocean flight.8-29-30.
