COLUMBIA CITY, IND.-A view of the wreckage of the biplane in which Virgil Brumbaugh, 49, uncle of the pilot, was killed when the plane crashed into an automobile while making a forced landing. Two occupants of the car, Willis T. Leininger, 53, and Henry M. Miller, 64, were instantly killed as the plane struck their parked machine. The pilot of the plane, Kenneth Magely, was removed to the hospital in a serious condition. All concerned hailed from Columbia City, Ind. 10/8/31. [Wide World Photos] [Actualit]
